Why it is so hard to be with some people?

We think we are hiding behind our eyes.

Sometimes when we are not good at being with people, we use our eyes to protect ourselves from communicating— we look away, we look down, or we simply close our eyes.
We think we are able to manage but everybody can see us.

Does that really protect us from being with them?
No, noway.
We know they’re still there, right in front of us watching and drilling into us.
We just have an illusion of protection.
We just try to pretend to push them away mentally by averting our glance.

Why it is so hard to be with some people?

Why we do things which we know we are not good at it or wouldn't help.
